Eggplant by InertiaK Eggplant by InertiaK
Something a little different. I'm experimenting with textures as well as techniques. All in all approximately one hour. Rather simple piece for now but one that was on my mind and needed to
be expelled! :D

Photo Manipulation, as well as digital paint.

With thanks to the following:

What a delightful idea. It reminds me of the "air plants" that they used to sell in shells. Supposedly, you never had to water them, because the drew moisture directly from the air.

Thus, do not try to grow them in arid zones.

For some reason it reminds me of something you'd see in a Harry Potter book. Wonderful work.
Was most of it painted?

Thank you so much.

The eggs were stock and I used them in the image, rather than trying to paint the ';perfect' egg, however I did add to them to make them more part of the image to fit with the coloring etc.

The plants were referenced from the photographs - and were painted digitally with my pen and wacob. I used to leaves and style from the photograph to give me a good idea of the coloring and light etc. The background was painted, and texturized.

Thanks again! It was a quick little piece of work! I'm truly surprised at the positive feed back I'm getting! :)

interesting. I would recommend that you remove the egg in the right bottom corner. I distracts a lot.

I was actually working on that - wasn't sure to keep it in or not. I've removed it now - better?

I know you're tired of hearing this but I'm just going to repeat myself, your new creative direction rocks (and kicks some serious booty as well :) ).

You seem really comfortable in your work and it shows through in what you are producing, it comes out of the lines and tones of your work. I'm not saying that your older work was bad but what I have seen you produce in the 2 weeks or so that I've been watching simply has a degree of depth and soul that was missing before.

Complexity and time spend are irrelevant to producing good art (just think of Picasso's horse or hunting dog or Femme which he drew in a matter of seconds) its how you translate your creative vision and you're proving this to us time and again.

I'm speechless at your words. (In a good way).

It is truly appreciated that my creativity is being noticed and recognized for the passion I feel. I feel as if I've awakened recently, having been asleep for a long time. (Not technically, since we all know I suffer from Insomnia hah). Truth is I've found my zone and I'm really happy I have. It's been a long time coming, and I sure hope it lasts!

Thanks again for your kind words, support and comments. It is appreciated beyond words. -hugs-

We are all happy you're in the zone :D

And you are very welcome. I always comment what I think, feel and see and what I've commented here and before is how your art has made me feel, pure and simple (and believe me, my comments aren't always appreciated ;) )

I don't know what to say... I'm at a loss for words with this masterpiece. Wow...God! You sure have talent. .................... You might be the next picaso, Renalt, Da Vinci of the photoshop world. I'm really impressed. Honestly. :) You call this simple? HAHA...I call it brilliant. Put it on sale and you will get thousands of prints. No Joke, this would make an amazing calendar piece or maybe a large painting for an artful house. Trust me on this one.
