Bitter SweetThere is a solitary madness
Which ruptures under my skin.
I am separated from that which is,
An outsider who peers through the glass
Only to see the visage of a stranger
That gazes back with dull, empty eyes.

Maddening it is, for I relish a past that
No longer remains.
A moment in life that once offered joy
A treasure of glory which left it's taste.
And though I try to recall,
It is beyond a grasp and reach,
Out of touch
Out of sight
