I've had this image in my mind for a long time. I wanted to do a version of Rivendell, but not copy the one that is so widely known. I also wanted to give a try at a matte painting. Hence this image.

Anyhow, this is my version. Painted via Corel Painter, with various stock images used and referenced. It took AGES to do the landscape. I won't go into detail.

The rest is my own personal resources and brushes.
